You can map inactive benefit definitions based on a coded database field so that each benefit definition only applies to relevant codes.

This can be useful for data where benefits in pay status and deferred benefits are provided in separate database fields, certain divisions are eligible for different benefits, or any other scenario where benefits are only payable to a subset of your inactive population.

Inactive benefit mapping helps avoid the use of selection expressions in benefit formulas or data defaults for fields which may not be relevant to a particular record.
